Parish Church - Bacong
Showing a glimpse of history in Bacong, Negros Oriental, the Parish Chruch of Saint Augustine in Hippo exhibits rich Spanish-era features. The location is surrounded with different landmarks and buildings. The plaza which the statue of Leo Kilat stands is located near the historic church. Most attributes and characteristics of the buildings in the area showcase rich vintage styles which are definitely suitable for retro and vintage lovers out there. The place showcases the heritage and Catholic faith.
As we wander the area, we have obviously seen this old building and we could already see it's potentials as a good background. Indeed, the buildings around there are designed and constructed with brick walls. This could help you get nice photographs by trying to get some good angles.
Many tourists and visitors choose to explore more within the buildings of the church for their famous things like the organ placed in a balcony which is still in use. However, we only wanted to take a few shots since we have only passed by the area. We took our chance in taking great photos in the building shown in the picture above.
You might want to edit your photos using vintage filters as it greatly fits with the colors and things in the background. The great aspects or features are the brick walls and wood windows.
If you would try to visit the area, here's how to get there: If you will travel by public transportation and if your starting point is in Dumaguete, just find the Terminal going to Bacong. The ride takes more or less 20 minutes. Just stop at the Bacong Public Market.
If you'll be visiting this spot, then it would be a waste if you won't try this one too.
