Obong Paradise Hinoba-an Negros Occidental
Obong Paradise, a secluded property situated in Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental, is a superb destination, however, it was left undiscovered. This isolated spot was not given much attention by the crowd even if this place offers wondrous scenic views and extraordinary real-life adventures. The coordination of local tourism of Hinoba-an, the owner of the property, and with the help of Magbanua Tours, Obong Paradise will eventually gain the popularity among the people in and out of Negros Occidental.
You may wonder why would it be included in our list of great places that need to be visited. The answer is simple. It's a destination where a beautiful place and true adventures meet at the same location.
Obong Paradise is isolated and separates the tourists from the noise and stress of urban life. This place is passed from generations to generations of their family. Many historical events have been taken place in the said paradise. You may even ask if this place would be a very good backdrop. Well, yes, of course, continue to read this blog to see what this place could possibly offer to you.
There are caves (wet and dry caves) in the area. The dry caves have huge historical value in the aspect of Filipino freedom. In the first entrance of the cave, we were welcomed by thousands of cave bats. As we went out of the first chamber, we were instructed to lower down our voices because of some mystical beliefs. There are lots of formations in the cave located in the openings and walls of the cave.
There are rocks piled forming like tables inside the cave. The tour guides explained that the cave became like a church place of a certain cult way back a few years ago. Although the caves were majestic, there was vandalism present on the walls. However, the tourism department of this spot is doing their job already in order to rectify the issue. We were not able to proceed to the deeper portion of one part of the cave since there was a very big python snake lurking around the area.
One of the descendants of the owner of this spot, Sir Earl Magbanua, CEO of Magbanua Tours, explained to us that the dry cave was the hideout of Captain Villamor to seek refuge during the invasion of the Japanese soldiers. Captain Villamor kept ammunition and armors inside the cave to team up with the Geruillas in preparation of the comeback of Douglas McArthur. As we explored the caves, we saw lots of holes and they explained that those were the holes dug by the Yamashita treasure hunters. Okay, the caves were creepy and may not be the suitable backdrops, however, the adventure and experience is part of our journey. Well, it was definitely part of the tour package.
The next stop of the area is one of the greatest backdrops perfect for prenup photography, and many more. They call the area the "Lover's Lane". Locals said that tourist could shout out their wishes in this place as it would be granted. Let the photos explain to you how great this place is.
After wandering without getting lost in the dry caves, we continued our adventure to the wet cave. Unfortunately, we were not able to take pictures since the waves are very strong at that time. It's better for us to focus on making ourselves safe.
All in all, it's an all adventure trip filled with tremendous fun in it. The Obong Paradise of Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental is not just great for photography, but also perfect for obtaining thrill and real adventure.
How to get there?
The only possible way of getting there is through the service of Magbanua Tours since the owner of the property is owned by the CEO of the said company.
