Sulfur Vents

Here is another awesome spot you guys can easily visit and explore as you take some snaps and photos. This great scenic spot is just located along the access road going to some of Valencia's destinations. These photographs are taken on a place where tourists come to visit to take some pictures near the Sulfur Vents or also called as hydrothermal vents.

There actually plenty of these sulfur vents around Valencia, Negros Oriental, however, this spot is the most visited one. The area is indeed filled with a foul odor, however, wouldn't you want to sacrifice a little just to take some great snaps? These gasses that are being spewed by the vents are natural toxic gasses which may smell like rotten eggs. Some people like the odor, however, almost everyone dislikes it. The area might look like the Smokey Mountains and people also claim that it's a place where foul odor meets scenic view.

One of the great and convenient factors of visiting this area is that it's just along the roadside and so, getting into this place is very much easy. Furthermore, you can visit this spot for a few minutes if you are planning on visiting some of the other well-known destinations in Valencia like Pulangbato Falls and Red Rock Hot Spring. You can also take some good photos across the vents near an edge of a cliff as you can see in the next photos. Yes, this area is great for some good old-fashioned retro style or even aesthetic vintage ones.

How to get there?

Since we haven't tried going here through public transportation, we gathered information and interviewed some people regarding about how to get here through public transportation. The alternative we had is to ride "habal-habal". You may also ride on a jeepney going to Pulangbato.
