Cataal World War II Museum
This is one of the most visited spots here in Valencia, Negros Oriental. Usually, tourists visit this museum for educational and personal purposes. However, we could suggest to some enthusiasts and people who are looking for "Insta-worthy" pictures that visiting this spot is a great idea.
As you pass the gate, you would be able to view a nice scenery inside. You can immediately start taking photos.
They have this type of old vintage World War II vehicles that might be a good background for your photographs. We'd suggest having an aesthetic or vintage type for your theme or filters if you've planned to take a picture in here.
The museum is filled with many historic materials and old belongings from the soldiers. We've been in this place many times before and so, we did not have to ask for some information regarding about the history and old stories. However, if you are new to this spot, the owner would be willing to tell you anything about World War II. This spot is indeed a good place to be visited for not just taking photoshoots but as well as learning about the past.
As for searching "Insta-worthy" spots, we have found this beautiful tree situated in front of the main building. This photo was taken quite quick enough that we were not able to capture it very well. If you're looking for a great space to get brilliant photos, we suggest that you should visit this museum.
Before we left the museum, the man who's the owner of the museum told us something about the paranormal stuff happening in this photo. It might take you a while to see what's going on that photo but let me give you a hint. Look closely at the 4th standing person (starting from the right). You will see a half-body person and you can distinguish it by the knees shown behind him. It's creepy and we got some goosebumps knowing about it. They say it was discovered a month before we came. We're not really sure if it's just a kid messing around or a real paranormal activity showing existence from the past.
Going to this place is easy and affordable. You'll only need a few coins to get in here. If your starting point is in Dumaguete City, then you just have to locate and find the PUJ terminal and travel for about 20 minutes. You may need to ask the driver to stop at Cataal World War II Museum.
